Graduation Gowns What You Get in a Graduation Gowns Package: Each Keeper graduation gown package includes a souvenir graduation robe, cap, tassel with metal tassel drop of your graduation year, a collar (typically for women), all bagged in a single plastic package. The tassel can come in from one to three colors. You can also buy your souvenir polyester cap and gown individually for your commencement ceremony. All prices are subject to change without notice, and prices WILL increase as graduation robe season gets closer, so please try and place your order as early as possible. Shipping Time and Costs: Shipping turn-around times for graduation cap and gowns vary depending on the season. For most of the year, turn-around time is usually around 3-4 weeks from order placement date to order shipping date. For graduation gown season (April through June), it is usually around 4-5 weeks. Rush orders may be available for an additional $35-$50 fee (plus standard shipping costs and, when necessary, any applicable special shipping fees such as 3-day air, next day air, etc.), which can reduce the turn-around time to about 2 weeks, depending on color, size, and availablility. Rush orders may also be made unavailable during graduation season (April through June), at our discretion. Additional fees include standard shipping fees (which vary depending on your location, but are a minimum of $4.50), and sales tax to California locations. Finally, should you need academic regalia, masters or doctoral robes and hoods, honor cords and stoles, or other specialized products, the price will be different for such items. Fabric: Our Keeper® line of gowns, made from Polyester or Acetate fabrics (your choice, depending on availability), are ideally suited for single use graduation caps and gowns. Both fabrics are made of lightweight manufactured fibers, are cool, shrink resistant, mildew resistant, quick drying, and available in a wide range of colors and lusters. There are some differences between these two fabrics. Polyester: Polyester is strong; resistant to stretching, most chemicals, and abrasion; is crisp and resilient when wet or dry; retains heat-set pleats and creases; is more wrinkle resistant than Acetate; and is easily washed in ordinary washers and dryers. In addition, Polyester colors tend to be more stable over time than Acetate, though can fade from long exposure to the sun. Polyester is the standard fabric for Keeper® gown orders. Acetate: Acetate provides excellent drapability and softness, and is moth resistant. Acetate is dry-clean only. Currently Academic is phasing this material out and we sell acetate by request only, while supplies remain. Colors: The colors generally available include those listed below. Availability varies depending on current stock of that color (though we pretty much always have Royal and Black in stock). The printed colors from this page may not be accurate (since everyone's monitor and video settings differ).
